Honoring a Sustainable Partner

Executive Chef Mark Sapienza of the Langham Hotel was the Guest of Honor at Dole & Bailey on Thursday June 10th 2009. Carl Dematteo, Executive Director of Northeast Family Farms, presented him a plaque honoring his service and commitment to the Northeast Farming Community.
Mark and The Langham hotel have partnered on every level with Dole & Bailey in the development and growth of Northeast Family Farms. Chef Sapienza has spent time talking to the farmers and producers , hosted a sustainable booth during Sunday Brunch to help educate guests and was the first hotel to feature a local NEFF Burger on their menu. Mark has not only been a great partner, but has led Boston's Local Foods movement by example.

A Locavore's Christmas

Today is the Day! It is official! Winter is over, spring has sprung and the first major crop of Local Produce has arrived. We received 50 Cases of hand picked Locally raised Strawberries from Ward's Berry Farm in Sharon MA. They are dense, almost heavy, sweet gems of flavor! Don't wait, as the forecast of rain for the next fews days could have an adverse impact on this preciously short season. Get them now, while available!!!!

DONE!

How does four hours feel like four minutes....A Dole & Bailey Road Show! If we didn't see you in Maine today, over 150 strong, then hopefully we'll see you tomorrow at the Wt. Mountain Resort in North Conway. Thanks to all who came out and everyone who made it possible.

Mayhem!

What a day for a show! One hour in at we are already at 80 visitors. Lots of food, fun and learning. I wish I could share with all of you how great this room smells with all of the wonderful food being served.



Doors Opened!!!!!!

WHEW HEW! Doors opened 15 minutes early and within 10 minutes we have already signed in twelve guests!!!!!!!!! Let the madness begin.
